Join me at the American Diabetes Association's Tour de Cure!!

Here's some facts about Diabetes.......

Diabetes affects 23.6 million Americans and is the fifth-leading cause of death by disease in America. Diabetes complications include heart disease and stroke, kidney disease, blindness, nerve damage, and foot and leg amputations. This year alone, about 1.6 million people will be diagnosed with diabetes and almost 250,000 will die. Diabetes is a chronic disease that Has No Cure. The American Diabetes Association’s Tour de Cure will raise critically needed funds for research to find a cure and programs that improve the lives of all people affected by diabetes, including 400,000 North Texans.

I am taking part in the Tour de Cure event coming up on Oct. 18th and would love it if you would join my team. This is the first time I've taken part in an event like this and tried to raise money. It makes me feel kinda weird, because I don't like asking people for money....even if it's for a really good cause. But, I still have a long way to go to reach my goal, so I would appreciate your support and would love to see you out at the event! If you are interested in signing up or donating just click on the diabetes icon to the left. It's really easy! Thanks so much for your help, for checking out my blog and for listening!!

Angie....breastfeeding....on the cover of W!

Brad took that picture.....he's good! It's just a really natural, happy, beautiful moment captured on film. I want to see the rest of the pics, but they haven't hit the internet yet. Here's some excerpts from a recent interview.....

Angelina took some time [at the Changeling premiere] to speak exclusively to Life & Style about life with six kids and how she got her body back. Asked about her amazing slim-down, she joked that “good clothes” were the secret. Of course, a dress can only do so much. “I spend a lot of time running around after the kids,” Angie told Life & Style “That certainly helps. And I’m breast-feeding, which also helps. I have an exercise routine, but I mostly just run around after the kids!”…

“The twins are wonderful,” Angelina tells Life & Style. “They have a really special bond. The other kids are really fascinated by them - -I think they feel older now that there are new babies around. They try to help, but they’re all still quite young, so they can only do so much.”

Still, it’s cute watching them try. “The other kids fawn over the twins,” Brad tells Life & Style. “It’s great.”

Ange while life is certainly chaotic right now, it’s not overwhelming them. During their whirlwind weekend in NYC, Angelina and Brad offered a peek at how they manage to balance their careers and children while still finding room for romance.

“When you have your priorities set, you just make the time,” Angie said.

Here's yet another interview...........

Q: In Changeling, fate intervenes. Do you believe in that kind of mysterious turn of events that can dramatically change one’s life?

A: Only in a positive way. When I met my son Maddox, I went to Cambodia and left feeling I’d left something behind. I went back on a humanitarian mission and I felt, ‘My son’s here.’ It was the strangest feeling. I woke up that morning thinking, ‘They’re going to introduce me to my kid today and I wonder how I’m going to feel.’ And the moment I saw Maddox I knew I was his mother. I can’t explain it.

Q: Does doing a film like this make you feel even more protective of your own kids?

A: We have a high-profile family, but I don’t want my children to be scared when we have to quickly get into the car because some person is running at us with a camera or something. It is a fine line of wanting them to be aware of strangers but not making them afraid. I suppose that, like with everything with children, it’s just communication and being honest with them.

Q: Billy Bob Thornton recently said that in spite of your divorce, you’re still best friends.

A: I have two divorces behind me but I’m still good friends with both my exes, Billy Bob and Jonny Lee [Miller]. I’ve never had to deal with secrets from the men in my life because I’ve always married artists and they’re a very talkative and expressive bunch. I wouldn’t have it any other way.

Q: Is that true of your relationship with Brad Pitt?

A: I don’t want to spend my life pretending to be somebody else, and I don’t want the person next to me to have to pretend ever, because we have a long life ahead of us. So you just want to be able to be who you are in every moment, and that’s the only way you’ll ever be truly happy.

Q: What helps you deal with all the fame and celebrity that surrounds you?

A: I’m just a mom and I’m very grounded by my family. I’m very happy, and I’m so lucky. The world can like me, hate me, fall apart around me, and at least, you know, I wake up with my little kids and I’m happy.

I post so much about Angelina...ya probably think I'm obsessed. I'm just really intrigued by her...she seems to have left her dark, weird past behind her and is in full blown do-gooder mommy mode. I really like the way she answers questions too...there's something romantic about the way she speaks about her family and all the things she loves that I think is really sweet. She's gorgeous, Brad is hot and their family is adorable. I love the Jolie-Pitts! Next.

Britney is ready to talk!!

Britney's new video for Womanizer premieres tonight on 20/20!! I don't think they are going to have an interview with her or anything...they are saving that for the 90 minute special. She teamed up with MTV producers for the documentary "For the Record" it will be shown Nov. 30th....just 2 days before her CD Circus is released. She'll talk about K-Fed, her breakdown and her kids. Here's a little of what Brit had to say........

“I sit there and I’ll look back and I’m like: I’m a smart person. What the hell was I thinking?” the pop star says in the 90-minute film, tentatively titled For the Record, produced in partnership with MTV.

In a video clip from the film, the 26-year-old Spears alludes to her tumultuous past: her divorce from Kevin Federline, forced psychiatric hospitalizations and loss of custody of her two sons.

“I’ve been through a lot in the past two or three years, and there’s a lot that people don’t know,” she says.

“Sometimes I think I get kind of lonely because you don’t open the gate up that much, you know I mean?” she adds. “You’re guarded. You have to be that way, so I’m kind of stuck in this place and it’s like: How do you deal? And you just cope, and that’s what I do. I just cope with it, every day.”
